Ian Dowley guest lecture at Murdoch University
Thanks to SCA - Sports Chiropractic Australia for the invitation
Ian Dowley was invited to speak on the topic of "Sporting Hand Injuries" last week. A great bunch of 5th year chiropractic students from Murdoch University attended, full of excellent questions about how best to identify and manage all sorts of common sports injuries to the wrist and hand.
SCA WA asked Ian to share sports-specific examples from his long experience working in hand therapy. He covered topics including:
- Mallet finger injuries
- 'Skier's thumb" injuries
- Scaphoid fractures
- Volar plate injuries
- PIP joint dislocations
- Tendon ruptures
